BIG BEAR, Calif. (KABC) -- There's more exciting news from the Big Bear eagles' nest: Sunny - one of Jackie and Shadow's eaglets that was the first to leave the nest - has returned!

Sunny soared Monday morning, and it was all caught on video. It's common for eaglets to return after fledging.

Sunny has since been sharing the nest with her sister, Gizmo, once again.

Gizmo has been spotted flapping her wings as she also prepares for her first flight.

The sisters are 12 weeks old, and the timing of Sunny's first flight is on track. Typically, it happens between 10 to 14 weeks.

Jackie and Shadow captivated the internet and wildlife enthusiasts earlier this year as viewers waited for the chicks to hatch.

You can get more updates on the eagles on the Friends of Big Bear Valley Facebook page.
